Stephen is CEO of BRITE GmbH (Basel, Switzerland) and BRITE Discovery, LLC (Boston, MA)
(together, BRITE) an emerging leader in global enterprise data management and discovery.
He is accountable for BRITE’s overall business strategy and performance, coordination of
the executive leadership team, and oversight of the company’s day-to-day operations.
Stephen has spent the past thirty years in the legal, business, government and
technology arenas pursuing the truth in whatever form it takes. He has supported and
counseled hundreds of Global 1000 companies, AmLaw100 firms, and government agencies,
and has been recognized as the first partner of any AmLaw 100 firm to join and lead a
top tier legal technology provider.
Stephen has held executive leadership positions at Stroz Friedberg, Pitney Bowes
Management Services, and Stratify/Iron Mountain. Prior to that, he was an equity partner
at Testa Hurwitz, a leading venture capital and private equity-focused law firm, and an
attorney at Skadden where, among other complex matters, he participated in a three-week
securities class action jury trial. Prior to attending law school, Stephen was
chief-of-staff and communications director for former state senator and U.S.
Congressmen, John W. Olver.
Johnny Petersen
Chief Technology Officer
With 25+ years of experience orchestrating global software implementations from the
ground up, he leads and manages BRITE’s research, development, and roadmap
activities. His prior experience includes six years as Global Support Manager at Oracle, four years as EMEA Delivery Director at Accenture, four years as Head of Consulting Services Europe at Glasshouse Technologies, and as an independent consultant heading up a variety of global software development and application rollout projects.
Johnny’s passion is transforming business processes and ultimately, the lifestyle of
BRITE’s clients. He is an ardent believer that software should be easy to use,
beautifully designed, and accessible anywhere.
Johnny seeks to balance his professional demands with outdoor sports and cultural
activities providing the needed energy and creativity for a busy day.
Jason Thompson
Chief Innovation Officer
Jason Thompson is an eDiscovery industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience assisting global organizations with eDiscovery, Data Privacy, GDPR, Information Governance, and Knowledge Management.
For the past 12 years, Jason has focused on working in the highly regulated and privacy-driven European & APAC regions. He is exceptionally skilled in aligning organizations' business requirements and policies to best practices while cost-effectively finding practical best-of-breed solutions. Jason also has direct in-house experience managing information technology networks and technical operations, giving him the ability to translate seamlessly between Business, Legal and IT.
Prior to founding BRITE, Jason held roles at IBM, ITMS, Veritas, Symantec, Vcare, Glasshouse, UBS, Yerra Solutions, and Quadrotech.
Rebekah Marley
Director of Business Operations
Rebekah manages all business operations for BRITE, from day-to-day functions to
partnering with the CEO on long-term strategic planning and execution of sales, hiring,
and revenue goals. She is accountable for BRITE’s financial systems, sales enablement
and day-to-day business operations across our global offices.
Rebekah brings wide experience from roles in sales operations, business development,
C-level executive support, and marketing, making her uniquely suited to wear many hats
within BRITE. She previously held roles at AmLaw 100 firm Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris,
Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Stroz Friedberg, an Aon Company.
She loves Excel sheets, data analytics, and keeping things tidy. In her free time, she
enjoys baking with her two young daughters on Boston’s south shore.
Nicola Petersen
Product Marketing Manager
Nicola is accountable for providing BRITE’s sales force with the information it requires to advance product sales and champion new product innovations. He works closely with the product development team to determine the best course for each existing and new product and assists with BRITE’s go-to-market efforts.
He founded Typhoon Cinema on YouTube, which, based on its Netflix-styled business model, grew to become the largest in Switzerland. In 2016, prior to turning 21, Nicola sold Typhoon Cinema to media company Mount Vantage.
Derrick Logan
Chief Revenue Officer
Derrick Logan is the Chief Revenue Officer of BRITE, executing the corporate strategic plan by expanding into new market segments, ensuring customer satisfaction, and enhancing marketing and branding efforts.
For the last nine years, Derrick has had a number of sales roles, both as an individual contributor and as a sales leader at organizations such as Iris, Epiq and Consilio. Working directly with in-house counsel, senior executives, and legal teams, Derrick affected the business processes of corporations and law firms and improved their handling of electronically stored information in SEC and IRS investigations and multiple large corporate litigation matters, with an emphasis on white collar criminal defense, intellectual property, employment, product liability, mass tort, and multi- district litigation. Additionally, he has extensive experience overseeing and running multi-national collection and review exercises to address privacy issues.
Derrick has over 20 years of information systems, operations management, and legal technology development and deployment experience, and has worked in some of the most prestigious law firms in the AmLaw 200 including Skadden Arps, Weil Gotshal, and Jones Day.
Derrick holds an M.S. degree in Technology Management from Columbia University in the City of New York and is a certified GDPR Practitioner.
